On the 2nd of October as a class we went and re-visited Cardiff bay to see the yacht building as the first time we went to see the building it was too windy and unsafe to go up. However, this time we were able to have our tour into the building. From the tour we went up the ladder in small groups, this of which when looking around the pink hut we were able to take lots of photographs of the interior and the exterior showing all the views from the windows to the balcony. Once my group finished the tour we then started taking photos from the ground of the exterior of the building showing its use of colour and the surroundings. Once everyone had gone up inside the building as a class we then produced a “yacht start building analysis” where we discussed the ‘context’ talking about what we can see on the exterior of the pink hut and the ‘building’ where we talked about the what you be able to see on the interior of the hut. From this we had a very strong analysis together where I then moved onto tracing the exterior and the interior of the hut by the photos I had taken writing on the key features and information. During the trip out to Cardiff bay I was strongly inspired by how a building that looked like this could be very unusual and how when we climbed up inside the building how much space we actually had to walked about in but more importantly how it was functional where it had power running through. This was because my initial thought was it was going to be dark and cold due to me thinking that there would be no electricity.
